Program Description

Self-Recovery is a comprehensive, three-phase approach to life-long recovery from the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual problems caused by alcoholism and other addictive diseases. These problems affect the entire person and must be treated as a whole.

PHASE I: PRIMARY MEDICAL CARE:
The Primary Medical Care Phase is medically supervised and involves specialized detoxification performed in our hospitals by qualified physicians.

PHASE II: TREATMENT
The Treatment Phase is conducted by the professional staff. Emphasis is placed on acquiring the skills to begin a new way of life, a life-style of permanent sobriety. Individual and group counseling sessions reaching into all areas of the individual’s life are provided in this intensive and extensive treatment routine. Learning and growing unites the psychological, physical, spiritual and behavioral issues of the disease of alcoholism and addiction and provides new understanding and new skills for a daily living recovery.

PHASE III: AFTERCARE
The Aftercare Phase is an exciting concept in strong continuing care support. Aftercare includes follow up and is referral based. Aftercare may include recreation, seminars, speakers and learning experiences for continuing recovery or placement in a short or long term residential program.
