Staff Bios


Tommy Moore, SADAC, CEO

Tommy Moore, SADAC, CEO
Tommy Moore is currently the owner of Self-Recovery, L.L.C. Tommy is a recovering addict/alcoholic himself who has been clean from alcohol and drugs since 1995 after 19 years in active addiction. He began in this field as a volunteer for a substance abuse treatment center and worked his way from the bottom up. Tommy has dedicated his life to helping the suffering addict/alcoholic. He has owned Self-Recovery since 2005. Tommy is currently a NCAC I and is a member of the Alabama Alcoholism and Drug Counselor Certification Board. He is currently a member of NAADAC.


Demopolis Unit:

Krystee Gibson, CAC, EAP – Unit Manager/Primary Counselor

Krystee Gibson, CAC, EAP
Krystee Gibson is currently the Unit Manager and the Primary Counselor for the Demopolis Self-Recovery Program. Krystee graduated from the University of West Alabama in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. She is certified in Animal Assisted Therapy through the University of North Texas. Krystee is also certified in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Equine Assisted Learning from Greg Kersten’s O.K. Corral Series. Krystee began working with Self-Recovery in May of 2006 after overcoming her addiction to self mutilation and bulimia. Krystee passed her certification by the Alabama Alcoholism and Drug Counselor Certification Board in April of 2010. She is currently a member of NAADAC.


Thomas Moore, Counselor

Thomas Moore
Tom Moore is a Counselor for our Demopolis Self-Recovery Unit. He is currently working on his Counselor Certification through the Alabama Alcoholism and Drug Counselor Certification Board. Tom has been with Self-Recovery since 2008. Tom is a recovering addict himself who has been clean and sober since 2007.


Intake Office:

Office Manager

Marilyn Harris
Marilyn Harris has been with Self-Recovery since its opening. Marilyn has held numerous positions at Self-Recovery including addiction technician, intake coordinator, assistant counselor, and community representative. Marilyn is currently the Office Manager and is in charge of pre-admission screening, and admissions at the Demopolis Unit. Marilyn has completed over 500 hours of Addiction Counselor Training. Marilyn is currently working towards her degree in Business Administration at the University of Phoenix. Marilyn has also completed the basic training for Disaster Response Training from ARRTC in Mobile, Alabama.


Intake Coordinator

Debbie Pearson
Debbie Pearson has been with Self-Recovery since January of 2007. Debbie has held numerous positions at Self-Recovery including technician, intake coordinator. Debbie is dedicated to the field of substance abuse and enjoys working with the patients hands-on. Debbie’s motherly love for each and every patient characterizes her at Self-Recovery.


Centre Unit:

Beckie Crumley, CAC Manager/Primary Counselor

Beckie Crumley, NCAC, CAC, CPSS
Beckie Crumley is currently the Unit Manager and the Primary Counselor for the Centre Self-Recovery Program. Beckie began working with Self-Recovery in February of 2009. Beckie is a recovering addict herself. Beckie passed her certification by the Alabama Alcoholism and Drug Counselor Certification Board. She is currently a member of NAADAC.


Jennifer Tenglblad

Jennifer Tengblad, CPSS

Jennifer Tengblad is currently a Certified Peer Support Specialist for the Self-Recovery Program. Jenny began working with Self-Recovery in 2010. Jenny is a recovering addict herself who has been in recovery since 2007 after 12 years of living in active addiction.


Kelly Pruit

Kelly Pruitt, CAC
Kelly Pruitt is currently a Certified Addiction Counselor at our detox unit in Centre, Alabama since April 2013. She has worked in this field since 2010. Kelly is also recovering addict and alcoholic since 2009.


Community Representatives:

Kendra Homesley, CPSS

Kendra Homesley, CPSS
Kendra Homesley is currently a Certified Peer Support Specialist and Community Representative for Self-Recovery. Kendra began working for Self-Recovery in 2011. She has been in recovery herself since 2009 from Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
